The 10th gen (2016-2021) and 11th gen (2022+) Civic are two of the most popular cars we fit. Good news: the base Civic and the Si share the same wheel specs. The catch is the Type R, which is completely different.
Civic and Civic Si specs
- Bolt pattern: 5x114.3
- Center bore: 64.1 mm
- Lug thread: M12 x 1.5
- Factory wheels: 16x7 +45, 17x7 +45, 18x8 +50 (Si and Sport trims run 18x8 +50)
- Factory tires: 215/55R16, 215/50R17, 235/40R18
Civic Type R is different
The Type R uses a 5x120 bolt pattern and M14 x 1.5 studs. A wheel for a regular Civic will not bolt onto a Type R. The FK8 (2017-2021) came on 20x8.5 +60 with 245/30R20, and the FL5 (2023+) on 19x9.5 +60 with 265/30R19. Those high offsets matter: the Type R's front suspension and big brakes need them.
What fits
For a Civic or Si on stock suspension, an Easy Fit is a wheel around 7 to 9 inches wide with an offset from about +38 to +57. That bolts on and fills the fender better than stock. Going Aggressive means wider wheels or offsets down into the +20s and +30s. Expect to need a fender roll, some extra camber or a drop to keep it from rubbing. If you are on coilovers, choose that in the Fitment Finder and it widens the window to match.
Tires when you upsize
Going from 17s to 18s? 225/40R18 or 235/40R18 keep your overall diameter within 1.5% of stock. Going to 19s, 225/35R19 or 235/35R19 do the same. The Civic tire sizes page lists every size we recommend.
Do not forget
- Honda factory lug nuts are ball seat. Most aftermarket wheels need conical seat lug nuts.
- Use 64.1 mm hub-centric rings with any wheel that has a bigger bore.
